LiteTouch, Vantage, and Older Lighting Control Replacement
Lighting control installed in the 1990s and 2000s is reaching the end of its life across the desert. LiteTouch and Centralite are no longer made, parts are scarce, and a failed module can leave rooms dark. Integration Techs replaces aging lighting control with Crestron or Lutron, planned so the house stays usable during the work.
Systems we replace
- LiteTouch keypads and centralized dimming panels
- Vantage lighting control
- Centralite Elegance and similar systems
- Older Lutron RadioRA and HomeWorks generations
- Proprietary systems from builders or dealers no longer in business
How we approach it
We map every load, keypad, and panel first. Where load wiring runs to a central panel, it can often be reconnected to new dimming modules. Keypads are replaced with current designs and engraved for how you actually live. Scenes, schedules, and astronomic timing are rebuilt and tied to shades and Crestron Home.
Fixtures and LED compatibility
Older dimmers and new LED fixtures do not always cooperate. We test and specify fixtures and drivers so dimming is smooth and flicker-free. See architectural lighting fixtures.
How a takeover works
- On-site assessment: we document every processor, keypad, remote, network device, and wire run, and what the house can and cannot do today
- Written plan: what to keep, what to replace, the order of work, and an approved scope before anything is removed
- Phased replacement: rooms move over in a sequence that keeps the house usable, scheduled around your arrival in the desert
- Commissioning: scenes, schedules, and remotes tested room by room, then a walkthrough with you or your house manager
- Ongoing care: documentation, remote support, and a pre-Season check each fall

Frequently asked questions
Do the walls need to be opened?
Usually not. Replacements typically reuse existing wiring and back boxes. The assessment confirms this before work begins.
Can you replace a LiteTouch system one area at a time?
Often, yes, depending on how the original panels were wired. We lay out the phases in the written plan.
Crestron or Lutron?
Both are excellent. We recommend one based on the house, the existing wiring, and whether Crestron Home will control the whole property.
What happens if a LiteTouch module fails before replacement?
Contact us. Depending on parts availability, we may be able to restore the affected area temporarily while replacement is planned.
